About Us

Founded on March 10, 1935, the Messinian Benevolent Association of New York “Aristomenis” was born from the hearts of Messinian immigrants who carried their homeland with them across the sea. United by shared roots, memories, and traditions, they came together in the New York Tri-State Area to create a home away from home—where heritage is honored, friendships are forged, and the spirit of Messinia lives on.

Mission

Our mission is to preserve our Messinian heritage, promote fellowship and mutual support among members, and strengthen ties with both our Greek homeland and the Greek Orthodox Church.

As a founding member of the PanMessinian Federation of USA & Canada and the Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York, "Aristomenis" continues to play a vital role in the advancement of Greek culture and unity.

Vision

Today, the Association maintains its office at 25-35 Astoria Boulevard, Astoria, NY 11102 - a permanent home made possible through the dedication of its members and the vision of past Executive Boards, who successfully purchased the building in 1992. Through ongoing cultural events, charitable initiatives, and youth engagement, "Aristomenis" remains committed to preserving the proud spirit of Messinia for generations to come.
